I am feeling it...growing in my mind and my desire to share it with the globe...start thinking and feeling it...when is it gonna be hapnin? let's look to do an outdoor, under the stars performance in early summer...perhaps in austin, then L.A. ...then burningman...
also looking forward to europe this summer...late june...early july 3-4 weeks of music and travel...i am thinking about going to gaza after the Europe trip...a preview to get contacts to create the candleopera there....i welcome your thoughts and ideas...

Fri, February 11, 2005 - 11:36 AMThis year, I would the Candle Opera at Burning Man to be a parade. The performance would occur like a traveling circus, all across the playa. We would come up to people and perform for them and attract others with this. I would like us to be more out there with less production value and more interaction and acoustic experiences. Any ideas on how we could create this?
We could still have performers from the Candle Opera perform on the stage of our camp with music, or fire, or whatever. I just find that with playa time and all, it would serve us better to create something more fluid and flexible this year.
What do you think?

Fri, February 11, 2005 - 11:53 AMThat's a cool idea, and think it could work nicely. You'd still need a commitment (with no playa time) from a certain # of performers, but it would be much more flexible for the BM community at large.
I'll think more on this idea and see what comes to me. I like it!
I think it would still be a great idea to figure out what night and time(ish) we want to do this, so every night at Woo doesn't get planned up with other stuff (saki sundown, the other show, etc. etc. etc.)
And hey - when's it looking like there will be a CandleOpera in Austin? I might be coming in late April or sometime in May. If it falls anywhere around that time, I'll try to make it work!
Briidge, how much of the spring are you working in Sac?

I was thinking about us doing a Candle Opera here at the end of June. I have a lot to plan that month though. Or July ...

Creating a chakra-opening rebirthing and retelling of herstory through YOU and your magical dancing, singing and musical gifts....also looking for contributions in the realm of costuming, props, technical assistance and anything you want to gift to the people of the playa.....It is a long haul from Austin and I am asking for your help to bring this truly healing and evolutionary event to life at burningman!

Austin 2005 candleopera

The next Austin Candleopera will be at New Year's...We are submitting a proposal to have it be a part of FIRST NIGHT Austin which is a huge community celebration. The deadline for the proposal is July 11th and we will know if we are going to be a part of 1st night by September.
When selected the project will be funded by corporate sponsors....wanna get paid for some candleopera??

iiii am very excited to be co-creating The CandleOpera...
It is based on the re-telling of her/history through the use of humans representing gods and more specifically, gods representing humans...it will tell the story which is held in the charkras...which carry the roadmap of the development and evolution of humanity...
we will utilize the colors and sacred geometry related to each chakra and create sonic, visual and spiritual energy fields in which to play, laugh, cry, transform and HEAL the planet for about an hour....the last section will actually be an intentional and fun healing session for all in attendance.....and beyond!!:)
The running title now is: ouRevolution...an hOUR of Evolution...
The concept is being presented before July 11th and the arts community in austin will fund the performance...if there is a cost to be included in the proposal, i need to know about it very soon...so, please call or write asap and let your ideas, wants, needs and especially, your dreams flow and then we'll know!
