The CandleOpera @ BurningMan

This year at BurningMan we will be creating a roaming CandleOpera ...it will carry us through the night to the multitudes of people across the playa...who is attending BM and is up for really playing and having a great experience??
Presently creating a tour that will travel across the states utilizing alternative fuels and energies and healing communities. We will also be focusing on sustainable living and evolution of conciousness.

I remember the great connection we made out in Deep Playa by the Inner Mind Wed afternoon where we shared an all too brief conversation about spanking & the two of you cuties invited me to your show that night & your camp & I couldn't make it & was that you who came by my camp & didn't leave names??

Where are you? Who are you? I'm 2 hrs north of SF near Clearlake in Calif and am available off Playa.

my job title for the Candle Opera

I hereby declare myself Briidge To Production (BTP) for the Candle Opera. If you want results, I will be the one that sees they get produced. For your creative vision, I will bridge people together to make it happen.

I will be the link/liason between the creative team (writers, directors, artists) and the production team (lighting, sound, technicians, stage management, house management, venues, etc ...). I will also organize production teams and schedules and make sure our production is running on schedule and in integrity and alignment with our grand vision.

The only way I can do my job is if the creative team communicates with me and updates me with any and all changes as they happen so that we stay on the same page. I will be organizing conference calls on a free conference line for the various teams to meet individually and collectively. I will also create a tribe just for production that you will need to check regularly to stay in the loop and to ensure everyone's full participation. This tribe will be called The Candle Opera Company. The tribe entitled Candle Opera can be for people who are still interested in supporting us in this conversation, but are not involved in the production we are currently working on, which now includes Burning Man and First Night Austin.

If you have any questions, need support with anything, or have any suggestions about how I can best serve this project, please do not hesitate to let me know.

That being said, I am need of people to participate, specifically on Wednesday of Burning Man week in the area of production. I am looking for stage managers, sound people, technical help, lighting help, and support. Please contact me if you are interested and we will get you in the loop on what we are creating and what we need to do to have this show be the grandest vision we can create at burning man.

the Candle Opera at Burning Man ...

The Candle Opera at Burning Man will take place on the stage at Freedomcommunity Village at Inzio's stage on Wednesday night. What will we create? Who is in?

If we have people who are not all living in the same city, how do we organize a show together? I would love for us to bring well-rehearsed material to the playa so that we can truly gift the best versions of ourselves, and create ease for the other performers and ourselves as we play amongst the thousands of people there.

Also, I would like to create a Candle Opera parade at Burning Man. This could happen the day after, or the day of. If it's the day of, most likely it would be different people than those who are performing in Wednesday night's show. I had this idea last year and would love to see it come to fruition.

Let's get this ball rolling. I would love to facilitate a conference call of players. Who is in?

hi oNe..

iiii am very excited to be co-creating The CandleOpera...

It is based on the re-telling of her/history through the use of humans representing gods and more specifically, gods representing humans...it will tell the story which is held in the charkras...which carry the roadmap of the development and evolution of humanity...

we will utilize the colors and sacred geometry related to each chakra and create sonic, visual and spiritual energy fields in which to play, laugh, cry, transform and HEAL the planet for about an hour....the last section will actually be an intentional and fun healing session for all in attendance.....and beyond!!:)

The running title now is: ouRevolution...an hOUR of Evolution...

The concept is being presented before July 11th and the arts community in austin will fund the performance...if there is a cost to be included in the proposal, i need to know about it very soon...so, please call or write asap and let your ideas, wants, needs and especially, your dreams flow and then we'll know!

I am feeling it...growing in my mind and my desire to share it with the globe...start thinking and feeling it...when is it gonna be hapnin? let's look to do an outdoor, under the stars performance in early summer...perhaps in austin, then L.A. ...then burningman...

also looking forward to europe this summer...late june...early july 3-4 weeks of music and travel...i am thinking about going to gaza after the Europe trip...a preview to get contacts to create the candleopera there....i welcome your thoughts and ideas...

I am declaring myself the Mistress of Making it Happen for the Candle Opera. This means that any area that is a grand vision for this production, I can be the one that births that idea into reality. This looks like budgeting, accountability, organization, production, integrity, and communication.

That being said, I would like for us to stick to any timelines that we create, or make new agreements if we are not able to meet those guidelines that we set. I would also like to see rehearsals before the production, to ensure that we are setting ourselves up properly to allow for our fullest self-expression and greatest joys to be experienced with ease and integrity.

So, what is needed from me to have the Candle Opera happen at Burning Man?

I am lit up and inspired by all of you...Creating the BurningMan 05 version of THE CANDLEOPERA and looking for you to bring it and be your greatness. Creating a chakra-opening rebirthing and retelling of herstory through YOU and your magical dancing, singing and musical gifts....also looking for contributions in the realm of costuming, props, technical assistance and anything you want to gift to the people of the playa.....It is a long haul from Austin and I am asking for your help to bring this truly healing and evolutionary event to life at burningman!

It is nice to be back in the tribe loop and back online and in-line!

I had a dream the other night that all the dancer/choreographer types created something together for the candleopera. I had been intending to do this before, but in the dream, it just clicked. Thinking of how we can do that long distance. Perhaps, we can create things to music where we each get sections of the music and then we have a jam session all together. I'm thinking very sacred in movement, to some type of chanting or trance music.

Ideas?

We will be having the next Candle Opera November 19th. We are looking for a venue in Austin, as our other one fell through. Any ideas? The performers I have lined up so far are: Miike, Silver, Bijoy, Juliet and Briidge, Patrice Pike. I think keeping it to a small cast would benefit us at this time. We are in the development of a mission statement and a vision for this to live into with integrity, commitment, and passion for all. If you would like to be a part of the creation of this document, let us know, because we will be meeting about that after the show. I would like to include some rehearsal this time, especially of the technical elements. Also, Justin, are you in for showing off some of your clothes? Also, anyone know willing to post flyers or help with ticket sales, please let us know. This is a benefit for SMArt (Socially Motivated Art) and I would like to raise at least $500 for them. Let me know and let's get this dialogue rolling. We will have the script out by next week. Thank you.

I've been thinking a lot about the next installment of the Candleopera. I've been thinking about how I can contribute and still be a part of it even though I have to work in LA on the day of the show.
I've been sooooooo bummed about not being there. I've been part of every Candleopera. It's not something that I even have to think about, I'm so completely committed to it that it always shows up as a priority.
And it showed up as a priority now more than ever before. So, I chose to stop pouting, get off my lazy ass, and I told my boss I that I was going to be gone that day. While I was on a roll I asked off for another day so I could go to Vegas with boyfriend for a weekend.
All I had to do was ask, as always. My employers are so great.
I'm super duper excited I get to come play with ya'll. It's on now. Create! Create!
